The privacy of our users is of utmost importance to us. This privacy policy describes how OpenSky Information or Think Build Deploy collect, use, and protect personal information that you provide through our web platform and related services.
Information we collect
When you use our solutions, we may collect certain personal information that you voluntarily provide to us. This information may include, among other data, your name, surname, email address, profession and educational institution to which you belong.
Additionally, to facilitate the login process, we use Google Auth as an authentication provider. By using this functionality, we may collect additional information provided by Google, such as your user ID, email address associated with your Google account and any other information you have consented to share with us.
Use of information
The personal information we collect is used for the following purposes:
To authenticate your identity and allow you to access and use our services.
To personalize your experience on our platform and provide relevant content.
To communicate with you and respond to your queries, requests or comments.
To continuously improve our services and develop new functionalities.
To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We commit to protecting the security and confidentiality of your personal information. We implement technical, administrative and physical security measures designed to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
We do not sell, exchange or transfer your personal information in any way to third parties without your consent, except when it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, comply with our policies or protect our rights, property or security, or the of others.
Access and Control of Your Information
You have the right to access, correct and delete the personal information we have provided to you. You can make changes to your profile or request the deletion of your data by contacting us through the contact information provided at the end of this policy.
User content, projects and file library (Deploy Plan)
Users on the Deploy Plan can upload images, videos, PDFs and other files to a personal library (up to 3 GB of storage) and embed them in e-learning projects using components such as the image library, PDF viewer, Files, interactive video and related tools. Projects you create, files you upload, SCORM exports, embedded publications, interactive videos (up to 500 MB per file) and associated metadata are stored on our infrastructure to provide editing, hosting, publishing, analytics and LTI integration.
You control this content through your account and may delete it at any time, subject to reasonable backup retention periods required for security, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Deleting content from your account does not automatically remove copies previously downloaded, exported or republished by you or third parties outside our platform.
AI-assisted content generation (beta — Deploy Plan)
The Deploy Plan includes an AI-assisted content generation feature, currently offered in beta. When you use it, you provide a topic and instructional parameters; our system processes that input according to instructional design rules, including the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation), to generate draft educational text and suggest interactive components for your project.
We transmit only the data necessary to operate this feature to our technology providers. We do not use your project content or AI inputs to train third-party generative AI models, except as strictly necessary to provide the service under our agreements with those providers. Generated drafts may be stored in your account until you delete them. Because this feature is in beta, its availability, quality, limits and underlying providers may change without prior notice.
Usage analytics (Deploy Plan)
If you use the analytics dashboard, we collect aggregated interaction data from learners who access your published content, such as views, component interactions and completion indicators. This data is associated with your projects and is used to provide analytics reports to you. Where learners are identified through an LMS or LTI integration, such identifiers are processed solely to deliver the contracted service and related analytics.
Unsplash media search
Think Build Deploy includes a smart search feature, available on the Build Plan and above, that lets you find images and videos from Unsplash to use in your e-learning projects. When you use this search bar, your search terms and related technical data may be transmitted to Unsplash Inc. so results can be returned and usage can be measured in accordance with the Unsplash API Terms.
When you select Unsplash media, projects typically store and display the URLs provided by Unsplash rather than copying those files to our servers, unless you separately upload them through the Deploy Plan file library. Unsplash may collect Image Interaction Data (such as views, searches and download-like events) through those URLs using technical identifiers described in the Unsplash API Terms. That data is processed by Unsplash to improve its services, support photographers and verify API compliance.
We do not control how Unsplash processes data collected through its API or hosted media links. For more information, review the Unsplash Privacy Policy and Unsplash API Terms. By using the Unsplash search feature, you acknowledge that this processing may occur.
Organizational accounts (Institutional plan)
When a business, educational institution, or other organization requests the institutional plan, we may process commercial and administrative contact data (organization name, contact persons, email address, phone number, country, estimated number of seats, and messages sent through the contact form or email) to evaluate the request, prepare quotes, activate licenses, invoice, and provide support.
Under institutional agreements, the organization may designate authorized administrators to manage team user accounts. In those cases, we process the information necessary to create, activate, support, and deactivate licenses in accordance with the contract and authorized administrators' instructions.
The organization is responsible for informing its users and having a lawful basis to share with us the data required to provide the service. For privacy inquiries, data processing agreements, or the institutional plan, you may contact info@thinkbuildeploy.com.
Third-party services
We use third-party providers to operate the platform, including Google Auth for authentication, payment processors for subscriptions, cloud hosting for content storage, Unsplash for the integrated media search feature, and AI providers for content generation on the Deploy Plan. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service and under contractual obligations consistent with this policy.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so we recommend that you review it periodically. The changes will take effect immediately after their publication on this page.
